Richie Incognito lands in L.A., declines comment why he's there
In another twist to the Richie Incognito-Jonathan Martin, we now can officially begin to wonder if the two will meet in Los Angeles.
Though the Dolphins are left behind in Florida to pick up the pieces of the controversy between Richie Incognito and Jonathan Martin, the two offensive linemen are now both apparently on the West Coast.
According to Local 10 in Miami, which had a reporter on hand to meet Incognito at the gate as his flight deplaned, the suspended guard landed at Los Angeles International airport Friday morning.
Incognito told the TV station that it was not the "the time or the place" to comment. But his travel plans will leave everybody who reads the story wondering if Incognito flew to California to meet with Martin.
As CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora has reported, Martin currently is receiving counseling in L.A.
Another explanation, though, could be that Incognito is simply visiting the headquarters of his agents, based in Newport Beach, to figure out the next steps of his career.
More from the TV station, which has uploaded the entire video here:
"Incognito stopped to get a coffee as he walked out of the airport. Despite repeated questioning, Incognito remained mostly silent saying that he appreciates the job of the media but that he wasn't going to talk."
One final note: Incognito didn't actually get coffee. He bought bottled water from a Starbucks.
