Robert Griffin III says he can throw a baseball 90 mph
Robert Griffin III says he can probably throw a baseball 90 mph. The Redskins would probably prefer he not find out if that's true.
When people talk about Robert Griffin III as a quarterback, they always fail to mention his impressive touch on the deep ball. He also has excellent velocity. But could he wing a baseball at big-league speed?
RG3 visited his fellow Washingtonians over the holiday weekend, stopping by to see the Nationals. And while there, he told reporters he could throw a baseball 90 mph.
"I think with a few weeks of work, in preparation for that, I think I can throw 90," Griffin said.
Yeah, the Redskins would probably appreciate you not doing that, yeah. But the Nats definitely appreciate the love.
Pairing with some Nats players and the Wizards John Wall, RG3 said he hopes to "unite the whole city."
"With Bryce and Gio, and then John Wall, we've had a chance to hang out and kind of unite the whole city," Griffin said during an in-game interview. "That's our goal."
Posing with mascots should go a long way toward doing that.
