Russell Wilson: 'Why can't I be the greatest QB to ever play?'
Russell Wilson dares you to say he can't be the greatest quarterback in NFL history.
Don't doubt him and definitely don't doubt that he sees unlimited potential in his future. Wilson even said, after throwing out a first pitch for the Texas Rangers this week, that he believes he can be the "best quarterback to ever play."
"Why can't I be the best quarterback to ever play the game one day?" Wilson said. "I'm not right now. I've got a long way to go. But one day, you know?"
This is the ultimate litmus test of what a quarterback can and can't say.
Wilson is NOT the best quarterback of all time. Some people don't even think he's "elite" yet. (Whatever the hell that word really means.)
But he did just win a Super Bowl. Add in the fact that he's one of the nicest guys in the NFL -- and genuinely nice too -- and there's no one who's going to rip him for thinking he can be great.
