Sam Shade Added to GSU staff per report

Georgia State Football coach Shawn Elliott has added another assistant according to AL Football Scoop landing Samford defensive backs coach Sam Shade.


Shade spent the last seven years as the defensive backs coach at Samford and served as special teams coach for the Bulldogs the last two seasons.  He was is a graduate of the University of Alabama and a member of the Tide's 1992 national championship team.

Sam played eight years in the National Football League playing for the Cincinnati Bengals and Washington Redskins.

Sam is the third assistant to be added to the Panthers staff joining offensive coordinator Travis Trickett and offensive line coach Cedric Williams.
