Two teams with impressive opening wins but disappointing Week 2 losses will meet up this Sunday as the Bengals (1-1) take on the Steelers (1-1). Both teams will supply top-10 defenses to the matchup but their offenses have left fans wanting more, especially in the passing game. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow ranks among the top three in both interceptions (three) and sacks (nine) as he hasn't looked the same after his ACL injury. Meanwhile, Ben Roethlisberger is simply struggling to throw the ball downfield which was also an issue for the veteran last year.

Heinz Field in Pittsburgh will host this 1 p.m. ET kickoff. Caesars Sportsbook lists Pittsburgh as 2.5-point favorites in the latest Steelers vs. Bengals odds. With both teams' defenses ahead of their offenses, the over-under for total points is set at 43. In select markets, Sunday's matchup can be seen live on CBS and streamed live on Paramount+ with their must-have Premium plan.

Week 3 NFL picks for Steelers vs. Bengals

Before you tune in to Sunday's Steelers vs. Bengals game, you need to see the NFL picks from SportsLine's advanced computer model. The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up almost $7,800 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception six-plus years ago. It went a sizzling 24-14 on top-rated NFL picks last season, returning more than $800. The model also enters Week 3 of the 2021 season on an incredible 122-81 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season.

The model also ranked in the top 10 on NFLPickWatch four of the past five years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 94 percent of CBS Sports Football Pick'em players four times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is way up.

For Steelers vs. Bengals, the model is backing Pittsburgh (-2.5) to cover the spread. While the teams' records are the same, how they got to those records is not. Pittsburgh knocked off a Super Bowl contender in the Bills, while its only loss is to the undefeated Raiders. As for Cincinnati, its only victory came against the winless Vikings and is coming off a loss to the middle-of-the-pack Chicago Bears.

Pittsburgh has led the NFL in sacks in each of the last four seasons, while Burrow has been sacked at the second-highest rate since entering the league. Pressure in the pocket is what led to Burrow's ACL injury last year and it doesn't appear the Bengals have fortified their offensive line any. Burrow has been sacked 28 times in seven career road games, an average of four per game.

Speaking of road games, the 2019 Heisman Trophy winner has never won one in his NFL career. In his only career game vs. the Steelers -- which also was in Pittsburgh -- Burrow suffered the biggest loss of his career and completed a career-low of 52.5 percent of his passes.

The model sees Burrow getting harassed all game by Pittsburgh's defense to the tune of four sacks and multiple takeaways. Joe Mixon also gets held in check at well under 4.0 yards per carry as Pittsburgh is projected to cover in over 50 percent of simulations.
