The Tennessee Titans have been one of the several teams linked to free-agent pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney this offseason, but nothing as of yet has come to fruition. We have now entered mid-June, and the former No. 1 overall pick still has yet to decide where he will spend the 2020 NFL season. Those in Nashville were hopeful general manager Jon Robinson would be able to strike a deal with Clowney, but that excitement has seemed to cool as of late.

During a Zoom conference call on Thursday, Robinson informed reporters that the Titans were still "monitoring" the situation, but that nothing concrete has developed between the two parties.

"No conversations of recent," Robinson said, via the Titans' official website. "I think we're going to continue to monitor it and see."

The Titans are one of only a couple teams to reportedly have made multiple offers to Clowney this offseason, but apparently nothing has matched his desired price tag. While the Titans signed former Atlanta Falcons pass rusher Vic Beasley, they are looking to add more pieces that know how to get after the quarterback. Tennessee made it all the way to the AFC Championship game last season, and they are all-in for 2020. Clowney has 32 sacks in six NFL seasons, but recorded just three in 13 games last season. He added 1.5 sacks in Seattle's two playoff games.

Robinson reiterated that he believes the Titans would be a nice fit for Clowney, but mutual interest is basically all the two sides have agreed on up to this point.

"I know he wants to play," Robinson said. "I think we would be a pretty good fit for him. There was some mutual interest there when we started the discussions, but I would say that really hasn't grown legs since we spoke last."

Earlier this offseason, Clowney made his pitch to interested teams through Mark Berman of Fox 26, who reported that the Titans, Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles had shown interest in Clowney -- along with the Seattle Seahawks. Reports throughout the offseason have indicated that Clowney is in no hurry to sign, and it's safe to say that they have rung true.
