Tom Brady (calf) misses Patriots practice; reportedly will play Sunday
If you want to give a Patriots fan a real scare, tweet something about Tom Brady missing practice for unknown reasons.
It's probably nothing serious, but what else could make a Patriots fan break into daytime nightmares than a tweet like this?
Tom Brady is not at practice. Not on the injury report, so not sure of the reason.— Jeff Howe (@jeffphowe) September 4, 2014
Later Thursday afternoon, the Patriots' practice report listed Brady as not participating because of a calf injury. But according to ESPN Boston, everything is OK. A source tells the website that Brady will play Sunday vs. the Dolphins.
The Patriots also announced Thursday they had signed McLeod Bethel-Thompson to the practice squad. Aside from Bethel-Thompson, Jimmy Garoppolo is the only other quarterback on the Patriots roster after the team traded quarterback Ryan Mallett to the Texans last week.
Either way, we should have some more Brady news soon, right?
