Top Week 16 NFL picks, best bets from a legendary expert: This three-way parlay would pay 6-1

The 2018 NFL regular season is winding to a close and finishing the year with a couple big paydays can extend a profitable season or help dig you out of the red. There are plenty of high-profile games this week, like Steelers at Saints (-6.5), Chiefs (-2.5) at Seahawks, and Texans at Eagles (-1.5). To lock in strong NFL picks this week, you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone better-suited to guide you to that big payday than Hammerin' Hank Goldberg. In 17 years at ESPN, Goldberg turned in 15 profitable seasons for his viewers. Last season, he turned in one of his best years yet, besting 10 top handicappers in the Las Vegas Review-Journal NFL Challenge with a 50-29-6 record against the spread. Now, Hammerin' Hank is sharing his best bets exclusively at SportsLine and there's a big potential payout on those picks in Week 16.

In Week 14, Hammer nailed all three of his best bets, and anyone who parlayed them was rewarded with a 6-1 payout. For NFL Week 16, Hammer again has locked in three best bets. Parlaying them would also pay out at 6-1, and he's only sharing them over at SportsLine.

One key piece to the Week 16 best bets Goldberg is parlaying: the Vikings (-5.5) cover against the Lions on Sunday. The Lions' offense is sputtering with knee injuries robbing quarterback Matthew Stafford of running back Kerryon Johnson and wide receiver Marvin Jones. That's compounded by the fact that Detroit elected to trade Golden Tate away earlier this season. Because of that, Goldberg thinks this line is set at a bargain price.

"Detroit scored 13 points last week and Matthew Stafford has three touchdown passes over his last five games," Goldberg told SportsLine. "The Lions are missing their top running back and only have one healthy legitimate wideout. Minnesota ran the ball 40 times last week, and that really helps quarterback Kirk Cousins and the defense. Minnesota needs the game, and Detroit is lackluster at best. This is a bargain at 5.5."

Minnesota has a point differential of plus-1.1 this season, compared to minus-3.5 for Detroit. And the Vikings ate 5-2-1 against the spread as favorites this season.

Hammer also is bucking a streaking team coming off back-to-back impressive performances. The line on that game is way off, Goldberg says, so it's a must-play for any NFL parlay. He's only sharing who it is over at SportsLine.

So what are the three best bets Goldberg is confident will return a huge 6-1 payout in Week 16? Visit SportsLine now to see which streaking team runs into a buzzsaw, and see which spread is way off, all from the legendary handicapper who keeps crushing sportsbooks with his NFL picks.
