Eagles (-3.5) over Rams (-105)

The Eagles ran all over the Rams in the Divisional Round of last year's playoffs, with Saquon Barkley posting 205 yards and two touchdowns and Jalen Hurts adding 70 rushing yards and a touchdown on seven carries. The Eagles rushed for 285 yards on 8.4 yards per carry in their 28-22 victory during their Super Bowl run. Philadelphia has the No. 7 rushing offense (140 yards per game) to begin this season, and the model expects the rushing attack to control the tempo and time of possession again on Sunday. The Eagles are 2-0 and coming off a 20-17 victory over the Chiefs in a Super Bowl rematch, and the model projects the Eagles to cover the spread in 64% of simulations for this 1 p.m. ET start.

Steelers (-1.5) over Patriots (-112)

Pittsburgh was two costly end zone mistakes away from a chance at starting 2-0 last week, with an Aaron Rodgers interception in the end zone and rookie Kaleb Johnson not fielding a kickoff on a ball that bounced in the end zone, resulting in a Seahawks touchdown in a 31-17 Seattle victory. But Rodgers was dominant in Week 1 with four touchdown passes and 244 passing yards. New England will host Sunday's matchup, but the Patriots lost their home opener to the Raiders, 20-13. Meanwhile, the Steelers defeated the Jets, 34-32, on the road in Week 1. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is 3-0 against Mike Vrabel, and although this is their first meeting with Vrabel coaching the Patriots, the model expects this trend to continue, projecting Pittsburgh to cover the spread in 59% of simulations.

Cowboys (-1) over Bears (-115)

Dak Prescott and the Cowboys offense looked like their 2023 selves when Dallas scored 40 points in a 40-37 overtime victory against the Giants last week. The Cowboys had the No. 1 scoring offense in 2023 at 30.1 points per game, the last season Prescott was fully healthy. CeeDee Lamb has 16 receptions for 222 yards through two games as the Prescott to Lamb connection appears at full strength. Brandon Aubrey proved how much of an asset a top kicker can be last weekend, making a 64-yard field goal as time expired in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime before a game-winning 46-yard field goal in overtime. Meanwhile, the Bears are 0-2 to begin the Ben Johnson era, and they allowed 52 points to the Lions last weekend. The model projects more offensive success for Dallas on Sunday, leading to the Cowboys winning and covering the spread in 57% of simulations for a 4:25 p.m. ET start.
