On Sunday, Dr. Neal ElAttrache joined The NFL Today to discuss the prevalence of NFL injuries, on what type of surface they happen most often, and what the league and manufacturers are doing about it.
After Steelers 2012 first-round pick David DeCastro went down with a serious knee injury during the preseason, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger told NFL Network that artificial turf "is just killing guys because they can’t get their feet out off the ground … It’s just another reason we should get rid of (it)."
