On Wednesday night reports that Broncos linebacker Von Miller had an outstanding arrest warrant started circulating, but CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora debunked those rumors.

And now Miller's agent, Joby Branion of Athletes First, tells La Canfora that "no warrant was ever issued" for Miller's arrest and any claims that a warrant is pending "are absolutely false."

"On March 22 2012, in Orange County California, Von Miller was issued a ticket for speeding (less than 15 mph over the 65 mph limit). This was a traffic infraction and not a criminal matter," Branion said. "On July 9, 2012, the speeding ticket and all associated fees were paid in full. On July 12, 2012, this case was closed.

"No warrant was ever issued for Von’s arrest. The assertions presented last evening that this is an open matter and that a warrant is -- or ever was --  pending are absolutely false."

The problem with the rumors of Miller's arrest involve his current suspension. Because he's already in trouble for another reason -- Miller was suspended six games under the NFL's substance-abuse policy -- people are quick to jump to conclusions when the linebacker's name is mentioned in potential trouble.

It appears in this case that a lot of folks jumped the gun.
