Vontae Davis says Colts 'prepared really hard for Tom Brady'

You probably know by now that Peyton Manning played in Indianapolis and lost to the Colts Sunday night. Congratulations! You're one step ahead of Colts cornerback Vontae Davis.

Davis was asked by NBC's Michelle Tafoya about limiting the Broncos offense on Sunday night and said the Colts "prepared really hard for Tom Brady."

"We had a good week of practice," Davis said. "We prepared really hard for Tom Brady."

Davis' comment was in the intensity of the postgame, so it's possible he, um, just didn't realize what he was saying?

Because his comments sure do sound a lot like Jim Irsay's before the game -- the Colts owner pointed out that Brady had several Super Bowl rings.

Surely Davis' intentions weren't the same. But regardless his quote is a million times funnier.
