Vontaze Burfict's controversial hit being reviewed by NFL
Burfict could find himself in trouble after a controversial play on Sunday afternoon against the New England Patriots.
Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict is well-known around the league for some of his controversial hits throughout his career and he added to that on Sunday with a low hit on New England Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett.
Now, it appears the NFL is looking into possible discipline for it, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Burfict of course has a history of plays like this, so it is no surprise that the NFL is reviewing it and at the very least, a fine seems likely. However with his past, it remains to be seen of what direction the league will go here. He served a three-game suspension to start the season for player safety violations that occurred in last season's AFC Wild Card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He did apologize to Bennett after the game, however.
