San Francisco @ New York
Current Records: San Francisco 1-1; New York 0-2
What to Know
The San Francisco 49ers are on the road again Sunday and play against the New York Giants at 1 p.m. ET Sept. 27 at MetLife Stadium. The 49ers are the slight favorite, but fans of both teams should be in for an exciting contest likely to go down to the wire.
San Francisco didn't have too much trouble with the New York Jets on the road last week as they won 31-13. San Francisco relied on the efforts of RB Raheem Mostert, who punched in one rushing touchdown, and RB Jerick McKinnon, who punched in one rushing touchdown. That touchdown -- an 80-yard rush in the first quarter -- was one of the highlights of the game.
Meanwhile, New York was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last week as they fell 17-13 to the Chicago Bears. QB Daniel Jones had a pretty forgettable game, throwing one interception and fumbling the ball once.
The New York defensive unit accumulated four sacks for a loss of 21 yards. It was a group effort with four picking up one sack apiece.
San Francisco's win lifted them to 1-1 while New York's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if San Francisco can add another positive mark to their record or if the Giants can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of San Francisco's step.
