WATCH: Johnny Manziel throws 40-yard pass into car going 25 mph
What's it going to take for Browns QB Johnny Manziel to get you in this new car today?
One of the perks to being a first-round pick and future face of the franchise are the sponsorship opportunities. For Johnny Manziel, taken 22nd overall by the Browns in the 2014 NFL Draft, that means a McDonalds spot with fellow Clevelander LeBron James, and more recently, a commercial for a local car dealer.
Okay, it's not nearly as exciting as seeing Manziel fire a football through a basketball hoop from a couple hundred feet away -- or watching him dunk on a eight-foot rim -- though the driver of the car might feel differently.
“Manziel made a perfect throw into the car,” Bernie Moreno, president of the Collection Auto Group (which owns the dealership) told TMZ. “Everybody celebrated except the driver who got out the car with a huge welt on his face.”
Moreno added that the car was going 25 mph and Manziel made a 40-yard throw.
It's a fine commercial but here's some free advice on how to make it better: Have Josh Gordon do the driving.
