WATCH: Tajh Boyd says QB similar to being a presidential candidate
Tajh Boyd compares being an NFL QB to being a presidential candidate in the latest video about his draft journey.
Tajh Boyd is drawing comparisons from our draft guru Rob Rang to Super Bowl-winning quarterback Russell Wilson because of his style of play and stature. And like Wilson, whose affable ways have landed him endorsements throughout his first two seasons, Boyd is working on his off-field skills as well.
"You gotta be a likeable guy playing this position," Boyd said. "You're not exactly a presidential candidate, but your damn near close when you play quarterback."
As our No. 271-ranked prospect, Boyd won't rise up draft boards like his middle school chap, EJ Manuel, who he's palling around NYC with. But maybe there's a shot at following the path of Wilson, who was taken in the third round.
