Week 13 NFL expert picks and Vegas predictions: Panthers, Jaguars cover
R.J. White went deep in the Las Vegas SuperContest two of the past four years.
Intriguing divisional battles highlight the Week 13 NFL schedule on Sunday. Derrick Henry and the Tennessee Titans visit Jacoby Brissett and the Indianapolis Colts in what feels like a must-win matchup for both teams. The Titans (+1.5) have won two straight, but have lost eight of their last 10 meetings against the Colts. The Browns (-2), meanwhile, have won three in a row and face a Pittsburgh team that has won 10 straight meetings against Cleveland at home. Should Baker Mayfield and the Browns be among your top NFL picks on Sunday? And can Patrick Mahomes lead the Chiefs (-10) to their second straight victory against the Raiders and cover one of the largest NFL lines of the week? Those are the types of questions fans will have to ask themselves before locking in their Week 13 NFL picks.
Picking NFL games has been extremely profitable if you've listened to CBS Sports NFL editor R.J. White. In fact, if you placed $100 on each of White's NFL expert picks over the last two-plus seasons, you'd be up over $2,700. Smart bettors tail his selections.
White has been SportsLine's top pro football analyst, and over that span, the CBS Sports NFL editor and nationally-recognized NFL Draft expert has gone 256-206 on NFL against the spread picks. The stats guru, whose picks are coveted by fans everywhere, has also cashed huge in the world's most prestigious handicapping tournament, the Westgate Las Vegas SuperContest, twice in the past four years.
Now, he's back and crushing his SuperContest selections again in 2019. Head to SportsLine now to see all his NFL expert picks. This week, we can tell you White loves the Panthers (-10) at home against the Redskins.
"I hate laying this many points, but if there's a team it's relatively safe to do it against, it's the Redskins," White told SportsLine. "Washington's offense hasn't managed to score a touchdown in four of its last five games. Christian McCaffrey will take over and push the Panthers into at least the high-20s, while Washington could keep kicking field goals and end with six or nine points."
"Even though Jacksonville tends to struggle against NFC teams, I have to roll with the Jags here after the huge line move to the Bucs, a Jekyll and Hyde team that can throw up a dud at any point," White told SportsLine. "The public is all over Tampa Bay, even though the Bucs were 0-6 against the spread before beating a bad Falcons team last week. Jacksonville's biggest issue on defense is defending the run, but the Bucs don't have the rushing attack to take advantage."
White also is calling for a favorite to get absolutely shocked this week, and who it is will surprise you. Anyone who backs this underdog could hit it big.
So which teams should you back in Week 13? And which favorite goes down hard? Visit SportsLine now to see who you should back in Week 13, plus see which underdog is going to shock the NFL, all from the expert who keeps crushing the world's most prestigious handicapping tournament.
