Week 17 predictions: Cowboys can't hang with Redskins

It all comes down to this, the last week of the NFL season. Some teams are fighting for their playoff lives while others look to play the upset role. Check out whom the NFL Monday QB crew thinks will be victorious in this week’s matchups.

Texans vs. Colts
Phil Simms' pick: Texans
The Colts will rest some of their players this week in a game that is a must win for the Texans because they want to keep their first seed when they have a week off.

Packers vs. Vikings
Rich Gannon’s pick: Packers
The Vikings have won three in a row and had a big win last week against the Texans. On the other hand, the Packers have won nine of their last 10, including a 55-7 rout over the Titans, and with a win today they can clinch a first-round bye. The Packers have the momentum and more of a reason to get a "W" coming into this matchup.

Bears vs. Lions
Steve Beuerlein’s pick: Lions
Although they are eliminated from the postseason, Matthew Stafford and the Lions would love nothing more than to send the Bears home with their tail between their legs. The Bears need this win and Minnesota to lose in order to see the playoffs. It’s a reach of a pick but would be a major upset.

Cowboys vs. Redskins
Phil’s pick: Cowboys
When the Cowboys lost to the 'Skins the first time, it was too much too soon. They didn’t have enough time to prepare for Robert Griffin III and his squad. After watching tons of tape and being able to prepare for this matchup, Dallas will have Washington’s schemes down.

Steve and Rich’s pick: Redskins
Last week, RG3 had a knee brace but he still executed well enough to get the win. The Dallas defense struggles against Washington, which is the number one rushing team in the league (1623 yds/g). Rookie running back Alfred Morris is a big part of that with 1,413 rushing yards and RG3 adding on to that number. The ‘Skins also have home field advantage and will be riding a six-game winning streak into this game. Dallas will be able to stay in the game until the end, but Washington will prevail.
