Denver Broncos running back Willis McGahee is not expected to show up to Monday's voluntary organized team activities, his agent, Chafie Fields, told Mike Klis of the Denver Post.

"He's following the same routine he's done his whole career. He'll be there," Fields told Klis. "He's ready to compete. No messages.''

This is not atypical behavior for McGahee, who routinely spends the offseason training in Miami. But -- regardless of what his agent says -- he might be sending the wrong message.

The Broncos have a crowded backfield, with Knowshon Moreno and Ronnie Hillman back from last season, and the addition of second-round pick Montee Ball. McGahee is coming off a torn MCL and broken leg, and he might be making it easy on the Broncos who could decide to part with his $2.5 million contract in 2013.
