Titans' Kendrick Lewis: Could see larger role
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Lewis is in line for a larger role now that Logan Ryan (leg) is out for the season, Turron Davenport of reports.

Lewis averaged 52 snaps per game between Weeks 4 and 7 this year but has fallen out of the rotation almost entirely since then. Ryan's injury Sunday opened the door for Lewis to again see the field, and he responded with a season-high nine tackles and a pass defensed. He'll figure to see significant time for the remainder of the year if he can maintain Sunday's high level of play.

Titans' Kendrick Lewis: Steps up
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Lewis recorded nine tackles and pass defensed in Sunday's 17-0 win over the Giants.

Lewis led the team with nine tackles, his highest mark in a single-game since 2014. He was called into a bigger role after Kenny Vaccaro was forced to exit the contest with a concussion. Depending on Vaccaro's progress this week, Lewis could be in line for more snaps in Week 16 against Washington.

Titans' Kendrick Lewis: Practices in full
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Lewis (foot) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Turron Davenport of reports.

Lewis was held out of Sunday's win over the Jaguars due to a foot injury but appears to have fully recovered. Barring any setbacks, Lewis seems on track to suit up as a depth safety against the Eagles on Sunday.

Titans' Kendrick Lewis: Will not play Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Lewis (foot) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's matchup with the Jaguars, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Lewis was originally deemed questionable for the contest, but the Titans have opted to keep him sidelined. The decision is surprising, as he was a full participant at Friday's practice. His absence should open up more potential playing time for Dane Cruikshank and Brynden Trawick in the depth safety role.

Titans' Kendrick Lewis: Full practice participant
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Lewis (foot) was a full participant in Friday's practice and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Turron Davenport of reports.

This is the best Friday designation that Lewis, who hasn't suited up for a game since 2016, has had this season. If he is able to play Sunday, don't expect him to have any IDP impact, especially since he could have a cap on his snap count.

Titans' Kendrick Lewis: Won't play Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Titans' Kendrick Lewis: Not practicing Wednesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Lewis (foot) was a non-participant in Wednesday's practice.

Lewis was held out of Tennessee's season opener due to his foot injury, and does not appear close to a full recovery. It seems unlikely that Lewis will play against the Texans on Sunday, so his role on special teams will likely be filled by another of the team's depth pieces.

Titans' Kendrick Lewis: Sidelined for Week 1
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Lewis (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's season opener against the Dolphins, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Lewis popped up on the injury report this week when he didn't practice Wednesday due to a foot injury, and it has ended up being serious enough to keep the defensive back sidelined for Week 1. Lewis was expected to primarily be a contributor on special teams this season, so his absence won't have too much of an impact on the Titans.

Titans' Kendrick Lewis: Held out of Wednesday practice
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Lewis did not practice Wednesday due to an apparent foot injury, Erik Bacharach of reports.

The Titans haven't released much information regarding Lewis' status heading into Week 1, but there is reason for concern. Despite being listed as a two-deep safety, Lewis was expected to be a contributor on special teams. Lewis' availability could be made clearer as the week progresses.

Titans' Kendrick Lewis: Returns to practice
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Lewis (arm) participated in Titans practice Monday, Turron Davenport of reports.

Lewis apparently suffered an arm injury during last Wednesday's practice, but the veteran safety appears to have recovered. Now healthy, the 29-year-old should see starting snaps at the safety position with Jonathan Cyprien (knee) having been placed on injured reserve.

by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Lewis (thigh) agreed to a contract Tuesday with the Titans, Herbie Teope of reports.

Lewis has made 81 starts since entering the NFL in 2010, but his career may be on life support after he was unable to find work last season upon being released by the Ravens in March 2017. He'll vie for a depth role at safety with Tennessee during training camp.

by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Lewis (thigh) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports.

Ravens' Kendrick Lewis: Absent from injury report
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Lewis (undisclosed) was not listed on the Week 1 injury report Wednesday or Thursday.

Lewis missed some time in camp with an undisclosed injury, but he should be just fine for Sunday against the Bill. Though he could get some snaps in nickel or dime packages, Lewis is mostly just expected to provide depth behind the starting safety duo of Lardarius Webb and Eric Weddle.

by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Lewis missed Monday's practice with an undisclosed injury,'s Jamison Hensley reports.

Regardless of his health, Lewis is expected to come off the bench behind Eric Weddle and Lardarius Webb. It's even possible Lewis could have to earn his roster spot, though the Ravens usually keep at least five safeties.

Ravens' Kendrick Lewis: Finishes season with 61 tackles
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Lewis finished the 2015 season with 61 tackles (38 solo) and a forced fumble in 15 games.

Signed to a three-year, $5.4 million contract before the season, Lewis pretty much gave the Ravens what they paid for, providing subpar but mostly competent play at safety. The team will likely look for an upgrade during the offseason, but it's entirely possible Lewis will return as a starter.

All going swimmingly for new Ravens S Kendrick Lewis
by Marty Gitlin |

The Ravens are happy with new starting safety Kendrick Lewis. And the feeling is mutual.

Lewis signed a three-year deal worth $5.4 million in the offseason. He has not only hit the ground running from a physical standpoint, but also as a mentor to his less experienced teammates.

"Kendrick Lewis is going a great job," John Harbaugh told the Baltimore Sun. "He doesn't say much. In terms of walking around the building, he just puts his nose to the grindstone and goes to work.

"I see him in the weight room. I see him in the meeting room. I see him on the field just working like crazy. Very smart player, really gets the game and communicates really well back there."

The 26-year-old Lewis, who started every game for Houston a year ago and led the Texans with 84 tackles, is equally appreciative of his new team.

"When you see Baltimore Ravens, you see the philosophy," he said. "You see that their team is made up on defense and me being a defensive guy, me being a safety, that's what I wanted to be a part of."
