Chargers right guard Johnnie Troutman suffered a broken arm during Thursday's preseason opener, per the San Diego Union-Tribune, and will miss an extended amount of time.
Troutman was the team's starter at the position, and in the aftermath of his injury, San Diego shifted D.J. Fluker over to the position.
The Chargers announced a pair of roster moves on Monday, per U-T San Diego. The team placed right guard Johnnie Troutman on injured reserve with a knee injury and re-signed offensive lineman Kenny Wiggins to the 53-man active roster.
Chargers guard Johnnie Troutman is questionable to return to Saturday's game against the 49ers with a knee injury, the team announced. Troutman suffered his injury in the third quarter of the Week 16 matchup.
The Chargers have issued an extensive injury report for their Sunday game in Buffalo. Ruled out are running back Ryan Mathews (knee) and linebacker Melvin Ingram (hamstring).

A critical unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in Week 13 against Cincinnati has cost Chargers guard Johnnie Troutman a start. He will be benched for the Sunday game against the visiting Giants.
Mike McCoy was angered when Troutman reacted to Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict stepping on his foot by shoving him and earning a 15-yard penalty.
"You have to be poised under pressure," McCoy told the San Diego Union-Tribune. "It's something whether you get baited or not, it's unacceptable. That's what I told him instantly after the play happened. ... It really hurt our football team."
The Chargers listed six as inactive for Week 2 against the Chargers Sunday, and it includes just one player who was listed on the injury report. Linebacker Manti Te'o (foot) joins linebacker Terrell Manning, quarterback Brad Sorensen, defensive lineman Drake Nevis, wide receiver Seyi Ajirotutu and offensive lineman Johnnie Troutman.
Rookie inside linebacker Manti Te'o, who earlier was ruled out with a foot injury, heads the Chargers' list of inactives for Monday night's game against Houston. Also sitting out are safety Brandon Taylor (knee), quarterback Brad Sorensen, wideout Seyi Ajirotutu, guard Johnnie Troutman, linebacker Tourek Williams and defensive end Drake Nevis.
