The Redskins have moved Kory Lichtensteiger to center after signing guard Shawn Lauvao this spring. The thinking is that Lauvao will play left guard, which is where Lichtensteiger used to play.
"I'm excited about it," Lichtensteiger told ESPN. "It's one of those things I always excelled at, more so than guard. When I made that switch in college [at Bowling Green], it was my better years at football. For whatever reason my build, my ability is more suited to center. I look forward to snapping the ball, making some calls and hopefully taking my game to a higher level."
Redskins offensive lineman Kory Lichtensteiger (stringer), defensive back Brandon Meriweather (chest), defensive back Trenton Robinson (ankle) and running back Darrel Young (hamstring), who were listed as probable on Friday's injury report, are active for Week 15 at Atlanta.
Washington has listed OL Kory Lichtensteiger, S Brandon Meriweather, CB Trenton Robinson and FB Darrel Young as probable Week 15.
All but Robinson were able to fully participate in practice every day this week. Robinson was limited Wednesday, but practiced in full Thursday and Friday.
