Lattimore (nose) was released by the Bills on Sunday, Joe Buscaglia of WKBW reports.
The Bills opted to part ways with Lattimore to make room for recently acquired fullback Dan Vitale. Lattimore last played for the Jets in 2015.
Lattimore broke his nose during a walk-through and has missed Buffalo's last few days of practice.
Lattimore's injury was described as a freak accident by head coach Rex Ryan. Fellow linebacker Randell Johnson slipped and fell backwards, kicking Lattimore in the face in the process. Currently, Lattimore is without a time table to return and is considered day-to-day. Kevin Reddick will likely continue to see added reps until Lattimore returns.

A 2011 UDFA, the 27-year-old Lattimore has mostly worked as a special teamer throughout his career, recording just 48 tackles in 64 games. The Bills do appear thin at inside linebacker, which might give Lattimore an opportunity to compete for a key reserve role on defense.
