The Falcons announced Monday they placed center Peter Konz on injured reserve due to a knee injury suffered Week 7 against the Ravens. To take his spot on the roster, the Falcons signed offensive lineman Jonathan Scott.
Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan said he has confidence in the team's revamped offensive line heading into Week 5 against the Giants, per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The team lost center Joe Hawley and right tackle Lamar Holmes to season-ending injuries, and Justin Blalock is batting a back injury that will likely sideline him Sunday. The offensive line Week 5 will feature Peter Konz at center and Gabe Carimi at right tackle, with Harland Gunn expected to play at left guard.
"Mike Tice has done a really good with those guys this entire year," Ryan said. "We have guys who’ve had more experience playing."
Falcons CB Robert Alford and OL Peter Konz are probable Week 17.
Alford is dealing with an ankle injury, but was able to practice in full Friday. Konz has a neck injury, but fully participated in practice throughout the week.
Falcons defensive back Zeke Motta (hand), who was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report, and offensive lineman Peter Konz (ankle), who was listed as probable, are both active for Week 14 at Green Bay.
Falcons C Peter Konz and LB Sean Weatherspoon are probable Week 14 against the Packers.
Konz is dealing with an ankle injury, but was not limited in practice Thursday and Friday. Weatherspoon has a knee issue, and was also able to fully participate in practice Thursday and Friday.
Four Falcons who were listed as probable on the injury report are active for Sunday night's game against the Patriots. They are guard Peter Konz, cornerback Robert McClain, guard Garrett Reynolds and running back Josh Vaughan.
The Falcons have three offensive linemen listed on the injury report for Week 4 against the Patriots, and they should have at least two of them available for Sunday's game. While tackle Sam Baker (knee, ankle) is officially questionable, center Peter Konz (knee) and guard Garrett Reynolds (knee) are both probable for the game.
The Falcons have just two players listed as probable for Week 3 against the Dolphins, based on Friday's injury report: linebacker Akeem Dent (shoulder) and center Peter Konz (knee). Both players were able to practice in full Friday.
