Ravens' Brandon Boykin: Signs with Baltimore
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Boykin signed a contract Monday with the Ravens, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Boykin, who most recently played for the Bears, missed the entire 2016 season due to a pectoral injury. Presumably healthy now, the 26-year-old will compete for a reserve spot at cornerback behind projected starters Jimmy Smith and Brandon Carr.

Bears' Brandon Boykin: Placed on IR Wednesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Boykin (pectoral) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.

This news is surprising considering the Bears just signed Boykin last week. They are remarkably the fourth team he has been on in the last calendar year, but his season has now come to an early end. Chicago subsequently signed Joel Ross to take Boykin's place on the roster.

Bears' Brandon Boykin: Signs deal with Bears
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Boykin signed a contract with the Bears on Wednesday.

Boykin has become somewhat of an NFL journeyman, playing last season with the Steelers before being signed and released by the Panthers earlier in the offseason. It seems highly unlikely that Boykin will uproot current starters Tracy Porter and Kyle Fuller, but he could earn a role as main backup and contribute in specific defensive packages.

Brandon Boykin: Cut by Panthers
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Boykin has been cut by the Panthers, the Charlotte Observer reports.

Boykin joined the Panthers in March following a down year in Pittsburgh that included only 25 tackles and one interception last season. Although he was initially projected as someone that could potentially earn Carolina's nickel role, the Panthers drafting James Bradberry, Daryl Worley and Zack Sanchez within the first five rounds of last month's draft marginalized Boykin on the team's roster. With four complete seasons under his belt, Boykin will now look to sign elsewhere and compete for a roster spot during training camp.

Boykin has signed a one-year deal with the Panthers.

Boykin joins the Panthers after posting 25 tackles and one interception for the Steelers last year. At 25 years old, Boykin is at his best as an inside cornerback, which figures to allow promising third-year player Bene Benwikere (leg) to move outside for Carolina this season.

Steelers' Brandon Boykin: Four tackles on Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Boykin recorded four tackles (all solo) against the Broncos on Sunday.

Boykin totaled 25 tackles (20 solo), including a sack in 2015. He also had an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Boykin experienced a significant decrease in playing time after being traded from Philadelphia during training camp, and it showed in his production. An unrestricted free agent, Boykin will need to see more defensive snaps if he is to have any fantasy value, regardless of which team he is with.

by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Boykin totaled eight tackles (four solo) including a sack in the Steelers' loss to the Ravens on Sunday.

When Pittsburgh traded for Boykin in the off-season, it was expected that he might win a starting defensive back position. Instead, he played less than 16 percent of all defensive snaps, recording just 13 tackles through Week 15. He finally made his presence known against Baltimore, having the best game of his four-year career and his first sack since Week 16 of his rookie season.
