Hill was reinstated by the NFL on Tuesday, NFL.com reports.

Hill last plugged the line in 2016, receiving multiple suspensions from the NFL that resulted in a ban for each of the last two campaigns. He's apparently been reinstated, but it remains to be seen whether the 31-year-old will find a spot on a 53-man roster. It wouldn't be surprising if a team was at least willing to give him a shot with a track record of production.

Hill has been handed at least a year-long suspension from the NFL, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

Hill has been sans an NFL organization since the end of last season, when he notched 12 tackles across 10 games with the Titans. That reality may be due to the four-game ban he received earlier this year due to a violation of the NFL's substance abuse policy, according to Jason Wolf of The Tennessean. There's no telling what Hill's faux pas was on this occasion, but the 30-year-old may have played his last down as a professional.

Hill (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.

Hill has yet to make his season debut for the Titans since undergoing a knee procedure in early September.

Atlanta police said Monday they're investigating a sexual assault allegation against Titans defensive tackle Sammie Lee Hill, reports The Tennessean.

"The Atlanta Police Dept. has been contacted by a female who advised she was sexually assaulted by Sammie Hill, who is an NFL player," the department said in a release obtained by the paper. "We are working with the female to obtain information about this incident. At this time, the report is not available."

The Titans issued this statement: "We will let the police investigate the allegation and we will provide any assistance they need. We have discussed the matter with Sammie and we will continue to gather facts."

Titans running back Dexter McCluster, who was questionable with a knee injury, is active for Monday's game against the Steelers. Also suiting up are running back Leon Washington (hamstring), cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson (back) and nose tackle Sammie Lee Hill (hamstring).
