Hayden arguably recorded the most productive season of his career with Detroit this season. However, he still finished as Pro Football Focus' 108th-highest graded corner, earning negative marks in both pass coverage and run support. The 2013 first-rounder was playing on a one-year contract and is now set to retest free agency.
Hayden (illness) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Packers.
Hayden was added to the Lions' injury report on Saturday due to an illness, but the issue doesn't appear to be serious enough to effect his status for Sunday's season finale. He could see additional reps at cornerback with starter Nevin Lawson (concussion) sidelined.
Hayden's final status for Sunday's season finale against the Packers is unlikely to be determined until closer to game time. Jamal Agnew and Teez Tabor figure to see extended time providing depth in the secondary if Hayden is ultimately ruled out.
Hayden (hamstring) has been an active participant during camp, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.
Hayden, who was slowed down with a hamstring injury during the offseason, received first team reps during the Lions' preseason opener with Darius Slay sidelined. He projects to provide cornerback depth heading into the regular season.
