In 15 games with the Dolphins in 2016, Paysinger recorded 59 tackles (42 solo) and three passes defensed. Look for him to serve in a more limited role for the Panthers' defense.
Paysinger was released by the Jets on Friday, Darryl Slater of The Star-Ledger reports.
The veteran linebacker has a track record of decent play in the NFL, so it wouldn't be surprising to see his name land on another roster. However, he's on the free-agent market for the time being.
