The Colts placed Clark (Achilles) on injured reserve Wednesday.
Clark suffered a torn Achilles in last week's win over the Texans, so this news isn't quite surprising. Clark will hit the recovery trail as he works to get healthy for the 2021 campaign. In the meantime, Chaz Green is the only healthy tackle at the moment, as Braden Smith (groin) and Anthony Castonzo (knee) are both dealing with injury.
Coach Frank Reich says that Clark will miss the remainder of the 2020 season because of a torn Achilles, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
The 27-year-old was carted off the field after fielding five offensive snaps during Sunday's win over the Texans, inserting Chaz Green into a prime spot at left tackle. Green was the Colts' third-string option, as typical starter Anthony Castonzo was forced to sit Week 13 because of an MCL sprain.
Clark is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Texans due to an ankle injury, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
The injury appeared serious in the first quarter, as Clark needed to be carted off the field. With Clark sidelined, the Colts are down to their third-string left tackle in Chaz Green for Week 13.
The Colts re-signed Clark on Friday, Jim Ayello of the Indianapolis Star reports.
Following the departure of Joe Haeg, the Colts appear to have made retaining Clark a priority in order to secure O-line depth. He'll play a reserve role at offensive tackle in 2020. Clark has spent his entire pro career in Indianapolis since being selected in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
