Roberson was snapped up the Texans one day after he was released by Buffalo. With the free-agent losses of A.J. Bouye (Jaguars) and Quintin Demps (Bears), the Texans have added a body to compete for playing time in the secondary. Houston created room on its 90-man offseason roster by placing tackle Derek Newton on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list.
Roberson was released by Buffalo on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of The National Football Post reports.
Roberson was promoted to Bills' active roster midway through the season in 2016, but in seven games he recorded just two tackles. He'll look to catch on as a depth defender and special teams player with another team in 2017.
Roberson was released by the Bills on Wednesday, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Roberson's stint on the Bills lasted just five days, as he had been promoted from the practice squad in advance of Sunday's showdown with the Patriots. He's now eligible to sign with another organization.
The Bills had one opening on their 53-man roster to fill, which resulted in Roberson's promotion. The 24-year-old played 16 games with the Rams last season.
