Clinton-Dix was seen in Green Bay on Monday and will attend this week's mandatory minicamp, Michael Cohen of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Clinton-Dix, who's in a contract year, was absent from voluntary workouts this spring due to personal reasons. However, his impending participation in minicamp suggests the safety has no intentions of holding out in favor of an extension. Coming off three consecutive 1,000-snap seasons, Clinton-Dix should again command a heavy workload in 2018 as Green Bay's clear-cut starting free safety.
Clinton-Dix hasn't been present for the Packers' OTA practices due to a personal matter, but plans to join the team for mandatory minicamp next week, Jason Wilde of the Wisconsin State Journal reports.
There had been some speculation that Clinton-Dix's absence may have been contract-related with his rookie deal expiring after this season, but the safety's expected attendance for minicamp suggests that a holdout likely isn't in the cards. Clinton-Dix, who will carry a cap hit of $5.6 million in 2018, graded out as Pro Football Focus' 40th-ranked safety last season and finished with 79 tackles (65 solo), six pass breakups and three interceptions while suiting up in all 16 games for the fourth straight campaign.
Clinton-Dix finished the 2017 season with 79 tackles (65 solo) and three interceptions over 16 games.
Clinton-Dix's production took a slight step back in 2017, which was a bit of a surprise for a player seemingly on the rise heading into his fourth season. Nevertheless, Clinton-Dix was still an iron man for the Packers, playing over 99 percent of the defensive snaps, and he will be back in his starting free safety spot next season.
Clinton-Dix made six tackles (four solo) and intercepted a pass in Sunday's victory over the Browns.
The interception was Clinton-Dix's third of the season and second in four games. He is up to 69 overall stops on the season, which puts him easily in range to top the 80 tackles he finished the 2016 with.
Clinton-Dix had nine tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's overtime win against the Buccaneers.
Clinton-Dix was averaging 4.9 tackles per game, so this performance was a nice boost to his fantasy value. The fourth-year pro could be on the hunt for turnovers in Week 14, as the Packers face the Browns, who have turned the ball over 30 times in 12 games.
