Quigley was released by Minnesota, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
He struggled in the preseason. The Vikings claimed punter Matt Wile off waivers from Pittsburgh to fill his job.
Quigley was signed by the Vikings on Monday.
Quigley's signing gives the Vikings competition for Taylor Symmank at punter ahead of this season. After spending his first three years with the Jets, Quigley appeared in six games for the Cardinals last year, averaging 41.6 yards on his 34 punts.
Quigley was released by the Cardinals on Tuesday, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.
Quigley returns to free agency after serving as the Cardinals' punter the past seven weeks. Drew Butler injured his ankle in Week 1 but has now fully healed and is rejoining the team as the starter, leaving no room for Quigley.

Quigley served as the starter the last two seasons with the Jets, averaging 45.7 yards per boot.
The team has also cut quarterback Hutson Mason.
