Perry (head) was placed on injured reserve Sunday.
Following his clearance of waivers, Perry promptly was reverted to injured reserve. The second-year vet has a ways to go before he can shed any kind of fantasy impact on the field.
Perry (head) was waived/injured on Saturday, ESPN's Eric D. Williams reports.
Given Perry was a fourth-round pick by the Chargers in 2016, it's a bit of a surprise to see the former Ohio State prospect wind up in free agency. He should revert to injured reserve should he pass through waivers.
Perry injured his head during Thursday's preseason loss to the 49ers, the team's official Twitter account reports.
Not much information is known with respect to the severity of the injury, but more should trickle out in the coming days. Perry had been a solid special teams contributor throughout the preseason.
