Zamort signed a reserve/future contract with the Giants on Monday, GiantsWire reports.
Zamort was briefly on the Giants' 53-man roster in October but did not appear in a game. The 27-year-old has yet to see NFL action since going undrafted out of Western Michigan in 2015.
Zamort (knee) is not on the Giants' injury report Thursday.
Zamort signed with the Giants on Monday, and it appears that the cornerback has fully recovered from a torn ACL suffered in July 2017. Expect Zamort to serve a depth role in New York's secondary during the team's Week 7 game against the Falcons.
Zamort (knee) signed with the Giants on Monday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
Zamort tore his ACL in July 2017 while with the Cardinals and had remained unsigned until Monday. He will provide depth for the Giants secondary, assuming he's healthy.
Zamort (knee) cleared waivers and was reverted to injured reserve Tuesday.
This move should come as no surprise. Zamort was declared out for the season after tearing his ACL in July. Combine that with his absence of NFL experience, and it's obvious why he cleared waivers.
The Cardinals waived/injured Zamort (knee) on Monday, Kent Somers of The Arizona Republic reports.
In recent days, Zamort was taking advantage of Justin Bethel's absence from practice due to a hyperextended knee, running with the first-team defense over 2016 third-round pick Brandon Williams. However, Zamort proceeded to tear his ACL on Saturday, ending his brief dalliance in a significant position. If he passes through waivers unclaimed, the performance was likely enough to earn a place on injured reserve with the Cardinals for the upcoming season.
Zamort has suffered a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season, Kent Somers of AZcentral.com reports.
Zamort, who was getting extended run with the first-team defense recently, suffered the injury during Saturday's practice, and subsequent tests confirmed the severity. He's fully expected to miss the rest of the season and could potentially be released with an injury settlement once reverted to injured reserve. Justin Bethel (knee), who is expected to miss at least a couple more days of training camp, will likely be the favorite to land a spot in the top unit once healthy.
Zamort was forced to leave Saturday's practice with an unknown injury, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Zamort, who has been running with the first team defense in place of the injured Justin Bethel (knee), laid motionless on the field for a bit before he was able to get himself up and carted off the field. The Cardinals are expected to update Zamort's status by Monday.
