Seymour announced his retirement from the NFL on Friday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Seymour entered the league in 2013 as a seventh-round selection by the Seahawks and also spent time with the 49ers, Bears, Browns and Saints before joining the Cowboys this past season. He was never more than a solid reserve option along the offensive line and will finish his career with just three starts to his name.
Seymour signed a contract with the Cowboys on Friday, 247Sports.com reports.
Seymour was on the Cowboys' practice squad for most of the 2016 season before getting the call-up to the active roster for Week 17. He was later released in order for the team to add extra depth at wide receiver for the playoffs. Now back in Dallas, he'll compete for a depth role in advance of the 2017 campaign.
Seymour was waived by the Cowboys on Wednesday, Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Seymour signed with the Cowboys as a depth option at linebacker just a day in advance of their Week 17 tilt against the Eagles. His release opened a roster spot for Jonathan Martin, who'll serve as a reserve lineman in Seymour's stead.
Seymour was signed by the Cowboys on Saturday, Jon Machota of DallasNews.com reports.
Seymour will provide depth on the offensive line in Week 17 against the Eagles, and look to impress coaches heading into the playoffs.
