Ballentine hasn't been practicing during training camp due to left knee discomfort, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Ballentine suffered a knee injury back in 2014 and has battled injuries in subsequent seasons, limiting him to just four games combined in 2015 and 2016. This latest injury further complicates his chances of earning regular snaps in the defensive backfield heading into the upcoming campaign.
Ballentine began the season on the PUP list due to a knee injury and suffered his groin injury just a few games after being activated. He'll finish the year with just two games played.
Ballentine (groin) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
Bellentine did not practice Friday, as a groin issue continues to hamper him even after the Texans' bye week. While his absence bears next to no impact for IDP owners to consider, it leaves Houston's secondary with one less body.
