The Raiders promoted Stone to the 53-man roster Wednesday, Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
Stone will take the spot of recently waived linebacker Xavier Woodson-Luster. The fourth-year center will provide depth along the Raiders' offensive line.
With center Peter Konz (ACL) out for the season, the Falcons are going with undrafted rookie James Stone at center Sunday against the Lions. He'll be Atlanta's third center this season after the team put Joe Hawley and Konz on injured reserve.
Stone has played in three games. Quarterback Matt Ryan said Stone performed well after replacing Konz in the first quarter Week 7 at Baltimore. "I thought James Stone did a great job of coming in and filling in for Peter," Ryan told the team's website.
The Falcons have made QB Sean Renfree, CB Javier Arenas, LB Tyler Starr, OL James Stone, OL Ryan Schraeder, WR Harry Douglas and DT Cliff Matthews inactive Week 4 against the Vikings.
Dougles came into the contest questionable with a foot injury. It appears he'll be unable to go. All the other players are healthy inactives.
The Falcons have listed QB Sean Renfree, CB Javier Arenas, LB Tyler Starr, C James Stone, OL Ryan Schraeder, WR Roddy White and DT Cliff Matthews as inactive Week 3 against the Buccaneers.
White was considered questionable entering the week, though he was unable to get through practice. The news bodes well for Jake Matthews and Prince Shembo. Both players were listed as probable on the injury report, and are active.
The Falcons' list of inactives for Week 2 at Cincinnati includes quarterback Sean Renfree, wide receiver Courtney Roby, defensive back Javier Arenas, linebacker Tyler Starr, offensive lineman James Stone, offensive lineman Jake Matthews and defensive lineman Cliff Matthews.
Jake Matthews, the starting left tackle, is the only one actually battling an injury. He was ruled out earlier in the week with a bad ankle.
The Falcons' list of inactives for Week 1 against the Saints includes defensive lineman Corey Peters (Achilles), quarterback Sean Renfree, defensive back Javier Arenas, linebacker Nate Stupar, offensive lineman Ryan Schraeder, offensive lineman James Stone and linebacker Tyler Starr.
Renfree, Arenas, Stupar, Schraeder, Stone and Starr are all healthy scratches.
