Cliett (finger) reverted to injured reserve Tuesday.
Cliett was waived Sunday due to an unspecified finger injury he sustained Saturday. Barring an injury settlement with the team, he's likely stuck on IR through the end of the 2017 season.
Client (finger) was waived by the Chiefs on Sunday.
The USF native struggled to standout early in camp due in large part to a finger injury. With the Chiefs out of the picture, Cliett will have to look elsewhere for a new home.
Cliett injured his finger Saturday, Terez A. Paylor of The Kansas City Star reports.
The nature of Cliett's finger injury isn't certain. Unfortunately, any missed time will only hurt his chances of making the final roster.
A sixth-round draft pick back in 2015, Cliett has been unable to secure a roster spot out of training camp thus far in his career and has yet to play in a regular-season game. He'll have a tough time making the Chiefs roster as well and he'd likely be nothing more than emergency depth at linebacker if he overcomes the odds.
