Nixon (undisclosed) reached an injury settlement Tuesday and was released from the Jags' reserve/injured list, Nicki Jhabvala of The Denver Post reports.
This means that Nixon will be able to sign with a new team. Once he recovers from this mystery ailment, he'll likely vie for a special teams role with another squad.
Nixon (undisclosed) was waived/injured by the Jaguars on Monday.
The extent of Nixon's injury is unclear, but the Jaguars evidently felt it was something that would cause him to miss further practice time. Assuming the former seventh-round pick, who the team claimed off waivers from the Broncos in June, goes unclaimed this time around, he could revert to the Jaguars' injured reserve list.
Nixon was waived by the Broncos on Wednesday. The 2015 seventh-rounder spent much of last season on Denver's practice squad before being called up and tallying one tackle in two games. He'll look to make the active roster in Jacksonville as a depth corner and special teams player in 2017.

Nixon was waived in order to make room on the roster for fellow cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris. The 2015 seventh round pick spent the majority of last season on the practice squad for the Broncos before a short stint on the active roster in the latter portion of the year. He tallied just one tackle in two games with the club.
