  • Broncos' Josh Watson: Back to work Wednesday

    Watson (hamstring) was absent from the team's injury report Wednesday. Watson was forced out of last week's game against the Patriots due to the hamstring injury, however, he's on track to suit up in Week 7. Now that the Colorado State product is back healthy, he'll likely assume his usual rotational role at inside linebacker for Sunday's game against Kansas City.

  • Broncos' Josh Watson: Ruled out for remainder of Week 6

    Watson (hamstring) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's matchup against the Patriots, Patrick Smyth of the Broncos' official site reports. Watson fielded 59 percent of the special-teams workload during the Broncos' Week 4 win over the Jets, and he was activated again for Denver's Week 6 road trip to Foxborough. The 24-year-old suffered a hamstring injury during the course of Sunday's contest, weakening the depth behind starting middle linebacker Alexander Johnson. Were Johnson to go down as well, Joseph Jones or Malik Reed may need to pick up additional snaps in the front seven.

  • Broncos' Josh Watson: Joins active roster

    The Broncos promoted Watson to the 53-man roster from the practice squad Friday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports. Watson's ascension to the 53-man roster follows the placement of Corey Nelson (biceps) on injured reserve. The rookie out of Colorado State stands to play a depth role in Denver's linebacker corps while contributing on special teams.
