March-Lillard was waived Saturday by the Seahawks after playing exclusively on special teams during his lone game with the team. The 24-year-old is likely to see a similar role in Dallas now that middle linebacker Anthony Hitchens has returned from a knee injury.
March-Lillard was waived by the Seahawks on Saturday.
March-Lillard was signed Sept. 27 to add some linebacker depth for the Seahawks, and exclusively played special teams during his lone game with the team. Seattle needed to make room for defensive end Branden Jackson, with Cliff Avril (neck) looking at an extended absence.
The Dolphins waived March-Lillard on Monday.
March-Lillard's dismissal clears a spot on the 53-man roster for fellow linebacker Lawrence Timmons, who was reinstated from suspension Monday. With Timmons set to return to action Sunday and the Dolphins having recently acquired 2015 first-round pick Stephone Anthony to bolster their linebacking corps, March-Lillard was an expendable piece. March-Lillard has appeared in both of the Dolphins' first two contests, but played exclusively on special teams, logging one stop.
