Vaeao had 10 tackles (nine solo) and one pass defensed in 11 games for Philadelphia in 2017.
Vaeao missed five early-season games with a wrist injury and otherwise served as a reserve defensive tackle. The 24-year-old is entering the final year of his rookie contract and could be due for a slightly increased role in 2018 with fellow reserve defensive tackle Beau Allen slated to hit free agency.
Vaeao missed the past three games and had additional rest with the Eagles facing the Redskins on Monday night this week following last Thursday's win over the Panthers. The 23-year-old was limited in practice the last two weeks but looks good to go for Week 7 after facing no limitations Thursday.
Vaeao (wrist) has been ruled inactive for Thursday's matchup with the Panthers, Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Vaeao will miss his third straight contest due a to a wrist injury, leaving the Eagles with Beau Allen and Justin Hamilton as the main reserves at defensive tackle. Vaeao was limited in practice this week -- so he is making progress -- but it seems as if the shortened week was simply too quick of a turnaround to get the second-year pro ready to play.
Vaeao, who has missed the last two games with a wrist injury, appears to be making progress in his recovery. If he is able to recover in time for Thursday's game against the Panthers, he will presumably return to his role of providing defensive line depth.
Vaeao (wrist) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
The Eagles will be down two defensive tackles Sunday, as Fletcher Cox (calf) joins Vaeao on the inactive list. Those pair of absences will likely open up a spot in the starting lineup for Beau Allen, who logged two tackles across 38 defensive snaps in the Week 4 win over the Chargers.
