Tucker (ankle) worked out for the Texans on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Tucker -- who was cut by the Steelers on Sept. 8 -- didn't immediately sign a deal with the Texans. The 26-year-old wideout will continue to look for opportunities.
The Steelers waived Tucker (ankle) from injured reserve Saturday, per the league's official transaction log.
The move will allow Tucker to sign with another team once he's healthy. The practice squad route may be the most likely, however, as he hasn't played a snap after two years in the league.
Tucker (ankle) sat out of Friday's practice, Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Tucker can ill afford to miss practice time in a crowded wideout corps. The 26-year-old has yet to play an NFL snap and may need to secure a spot via special teams.
