Cheevers was waived by the Raiders on Tuesday.
Cheevers spent time with Oakland, Tennessee and Atlanta this offseason, and will now work to latch on elsewhere in the league. The undrafted rookie out of Boston College is searching for a depth cornerback gig.
Cheevers was claimed off waivers by the Raiders on Sunday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Cheevers was let go by Atlanta earlier in the month, but he's already latched on elsewhere. He'll aim to make a good impression in Oakland with the hope of cracking the 53-man roster.
Cheevers signed with the Falcons on Friday.
Cheevers, an undrafted free agent, originally signed with the Titans following the draft. From there, he suffered an undisclosed injury and eventually reached an injury settlement with the team. He presumably has a clear bill of health at this point and will now look turn some heads in the Falcons' defensive backfield.
