Boykins (undisclosed) has reverted to the Seahawks' injured reserve per the NFL's official transaction log.
Boykins went unclaimed after getting waived/injured by the team. Barring an injury settlement, he is set to remain there for the rest of the year.
Boykins signed a contract with Seattle on Thursday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Boykins went undrafted in 2017 and was injured in the preseason, so he never saw the field as a rookie. He'll face steep competition in Seattle, but he'll have an opportunity to earn a depth secondary and special teams position with the club.
Boykins (undisclosed) was waived Tuesday after reaching an injury settlement with the Titans, per the official NFL media site transaction log.
Without this settlement, Boykins would have had to wait until after the 2017 season to sign with another team. He's now officially free to sign with another team, and the undrafted rookie showed potential as a practice squad member when he led the Titans with five tackles against the Panthers in his second preseason game.
Boykins (undisclosed) reverted to the Titans' injured reserve list Thursday.
After clearing waivers upon being cut loose Wednesday and going unclaimed by the league's other 31 teams, Boykins will stick around in Tennessee to continue his rehab from the undisclosed issue. However, he won't be eligible to suit up for any team in 2017, barring an injury settlement with the Titans.
