Mitchell was waived by the Texans prior to Thursday's game against the Colts, but he'll rejoin the team only two days later. The 25-year-old was originally promoted from the practice squad Oct. 22 and has played 14 offensive snaps in two games.

Mitchell (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Ravens.
Mitchell's designation leaves DeAndre Hopkins, Kenny Stills, Keke Coutee and DeAndre Carter as the only healthy wide receivers on Houston's roster. Mitchell likely would have made most of his impact on special teams if he suited up, so his absence should not affect the Texans' offense in any significant way.

Will Fuller (hamstring) is expected to miss multiple weeks, so Mitchell is being brought up as additional depth. The playing time will be iffy after Kenny Stills and Keke Coutee, so Mitchell likely will make most of his impact on special teams.
