    New Orleans cut Bargas on Monday, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports. Bargas signed with the Saints in May after spending all of last season as a free agent. The 26-year-old fullback didn't log any rushing attempts during exhibition play, though he did catch his only target for two yards. He'll now be free to pursue an opportunity with another organization, or he could land on New Orleans' practice squad.

The North Carolina product failed to make the 53-man roster out of training camp, but he was elevated for gameday once, logging seven snaps on offense. Bargas is simply injury insurance behind C.J. Ham, who has three years remaining on his contract that averages $3.6 million per season.
