Titans send CB Brandon Harris to IR, sign C Fernando Velasco

Titans cornerback Brandon Harris has been placed on injured reserve with a left knee injury sustained last Tuesday, per The Tennessean.

The team has signed veteran center Fernando Velasco to take his place on the roster.

Harris participated in 11 games last season after playing in all 16 in 2013.

Panthers to have Brown, DeCoud and White on Saturday

The Panthers will have Philly Brown, Thomas DeCoud and Melvin White on Saturday against the Seahawks.

All three players entered the game listed as questionable. Brown is dealing with a shoulder injury. DeCoud has a hamstring issue. White is battling an ankle injury.

The team will also have Derek Anderson, Charles Johnson, DeAngelo Williams and Fernando Velasco for the contest. All four players came into the game listed as probable.

Panthers list final injury report for wild-card game

The Panthers have ruled backup quarterback Derek Anderson (illness), running back DeAngelo Williams (hand), defensive end Charles Johnson (not-injury related) and guard Fernando Velasco (not-injury related) as probable for Saturday's wild-card game against Arizona.

Linebacker A.J. Klein (ankle) was listed as questionable, while safety Thomas DeCoud (hamstring) was ruled as doubtful.

Steelers offensive lineman Fernando Velasco had surgery Saturday to fix a ruptured Achilles tendon, coach Mike Tomlin announced Tuesday. Velasco was placed on injured reserve over the weekend.

Steelers add OL in light of Fernando Velasco's injury

The Steelers shuffled the roster Saturday, as the search for offensive line help continues. Center Fernando Velasco was placed on injured reserve with a leg injury, suffered in Week 13 against the Ravens, and defensive back DeMarcus Van Dyke was waived.

The moves were made in order to add offensive linemen Rashad Butler and Eric Olsen

The Steelers are in great shape offensively heading into their clash in Cleveland on Sunday. All players on their Friday injury report on that side of the ball are probable.

Included are tight end Heath Miller (not injury related), guards Fernando Velasco (knee), Kelvin Beachum (hip) and Ramon Foster (ankle) and wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (foot).

Steelers offensive lineman ready to play

Steelers OT Mike Adams, OG Kelvin Beachum, OG David DeCastro, OT Marcus Gilbert and C Fernando Velasco are active Week 11 against the Lions.

All five players were listed as probable on the team's injury report entering the game. Both Gilbert and DeCastro are dealing with ankle injuries.

Steelers release injury report with mostly probables

The Steelers list 10 players on their Friday injury report, but six are probable. The only player ruled out for the Sunday game against Detroit is safety Shamarko Thomas (ankle).

Designated as doubtful is linebacker LaMarr Woodley (calf) while defensive end Brett Keisel (foot) and guard Ramon Foster (ankle) are questionable.

Five of the probables are offensive linemen. They are Fernando Velasco (knee), Marcus Gilbert (ankle), David DeCastro (ankle), Kelvin Beachum (hip) and Mike Adams (ribs). Tight end Heath Miller (not injury related) is also probable.

Nearly every player on the injury report released by the Steelers on Friday is probable for Sunday against the visiting Bills.

They are tackle Kelvin Beachum (knee), defensive end Cameron Heyward (knee), wide receiver Markus Wheaton (finger), tight end Heath Miller (not injury related), center Fernando Velasco (thigh), cornerback Ike Taylor (concussion) and linebacker Vince Williams (concussion).

Fernando Velasco to start for Steelers

Signed a week ago, Fernando Velasco will start at center for the Steelers against the Bengals on Monday night. Pittsburgh signed Velasco after losing center Maurkice Pouncey to a season-ending injury in the opener.

Kelvin Beachum replaced Pouncey in the opener, but the Steelers apparently feel Velasco is better. Velasco started every game for the Titans last year.

The Steelers announced Monday they signed running back Jonathan Dwyer and guard/center Fernando Velasco. They take the roster spots of center Maurkice Pouncey and running back LaRod Stephens-Howling, who were placed on injured reserve with season-ending knee injuries.

Titans reach 53-man roster limit

The Titans reached the 53-man roster limit Saturday by placing wide receiver Marc Mariani on injured reserve.

In addition, Tennessee also waived the following 10 players from the roster: defensive tackle Stefan Charles, tight end Jack Doyle, safety Corey Lynch, fullback Collin Mooney, wide receiver Rashad Ross, linebacker Tim Shaw, quarterback Rusty Smith, linebacker Scott Solomon, offensive lineman Fernando Velasco and Jonathan Willard.
