Left guard Chad Rinehart has been released by the Chargers, according to the UT San Diego. The move saves the team $3.25 million in salary cap space.
Rinehart, who had familiarity with offensive line coach Joe D'Alessandris, came over from the Bills via free agency in 2013. The 29-year-old started all 16 games last year for the Chargers, and 47 games over his career.
