Raiders running back Kory Sheets suffered a torn Achilles and will miss the entirety of the upcoming season, he announced via his twitter account Saturday.
Sheets was fighting for a spot on the roster, but has not appeared in an NFL game since 2011.
Raiders running back Kory Sheets left Friday's preseason game against the Packers at Lambeau Field with an Achilles injury. He helped off field after taking a hard hit and a fumble late in the first half. Sheets was ruled out for the remainder of the game, according to the team's official website.
